ARRL Insurance Policy Online

While our national amateur radio association claims the details of our club liability insurance policy is some sort of a secret, the ARRL today published details of their insurance policy online.

I’ll let these facts speak for themselves.

  1. RACs approach to the compulsory non-insurance is an epic failure on so many levels. It was not a problem that needed attention, it was executed in an unforgivable manner, and corrective actions were not even considered after a long list of complaints. This wasn’t one problem, this was a long list of issues. Given all the grief that RAC continually fails to address, why did this get any attention at all is my first question.

    I voted with my wallet, took by $100 RAC membership fee to ARRL where I get substantially more value for it. A decision I did not want to make, I did escalate my concerns to the President and Regional Director, and was ignored.
